SOLD!!
Since my new Cedar Creek has a Fire Stick TV, I no longer need to haul around a DirecTV dish amp; tripod and set it up every time we arrive at a new site. When we did this however, this meter was invaluable!! I am asking 220.00 for it and it comes with the original case with strap, an aftermarket cord for charging the battery, and an owners/operators manual that I downloaded and printed myself. This meter does more than just "aim" your dish in order to find the satellite. It will run diagnostic tests on your system and tell you where the problem is if your not getting a signal from the Satellite to your TV the way you think you should.
The battery in this meter does not hold the charge for very long, it has not since I have owned it for several years. I put it on the charger which is just the cord that plugs into any wall socket, and by the time I have the dish set up and ready to go, the meter is charged enough to find the Satellite. I have looked into replacing the battery but quite frankly they are hard to find and cost around 65 75 dollars. If you can find 1. But having said that, I have been using this meter like it is for over 2 years and the battery continues to take a charge. If you charge it all the way, it will only hold the charge for a day or 2, so I really don't charge it all the way. It only takes a few minutes to find the Satellite, then I don't use the meter again for days or possibly weeks depending on where we are. Anyway, I wanted to be up front about the battery.
If interested, does not matter where I am or where you are as long as you have a U.S. address, I will ship the meter to you at no charge in a US Postal Service Flat Rate Priority Mail Box with insurance and a tracking number. I am presently in Key West, Fl if you are nearby, we can work something out :
