Check back later.Actually, if you're already a Dish user at home with a 211 receiver, you can just disconnect your existing home receiver and hook it into your Tailgater when you're traveling. I first tried just swapping the Smart card into the RV receiver, but that didn't work. I was told by Dish that this was an acceptable action.
Using DISH TV Home Receiver in RV
I am in the process of changing (after 21 years) from DirecTV to DISH at home. The reason is the high cost (about $200 per month) for DirecTV service since they were taken over by AT&T. My DISH bill will be roughly half of what we have been paying for DirecTV. As was noted above, it is possible to use either the DirecTV or DISH home receiver in your RV - although, the "Party Line" when you talk to DISH about starting service, they will deny that such is possible. They will try to talk you into buying a Wally receiver for your RV! :signhavefun:

It is simple as plug it in and pick area you are located. Tailgater finds the satellites with clear southern sky!

It costs us $7 per month to have a receiver in our motorhome. We turn it on during camping season, then turn it off in the winter. This year, we still camped in the winter, so no turning it off this past year.
Turning DISH On and Off in the RV
A friend who has DISH for his RV says that he only has to turn it on for the days they will be camping and not for the whole month!
